SMALL GROUP DISCUSS: Worked in small groups (Independent Reading Groups) to discuss approached to the essay

READ ALOUD:    "from MacBeth"
                          "you fit into me"
                          "Presentiment - is that long shadow - on the lawn -"


Due for Tuesday: Students may either write a 3/4 page response to one of the Consideration Questions for the poem, "Chess", or 3/4 page work on the upcoming essay.
Due for March 12th: A printed rough draft of the essay

Answered connections questions noted in parenthesis after poem title.

Practiced annotating poems. Used a completed example (provided by Kane) as a model.
