Tuesday, January 31

  1. Welcome.

  2. We will jump back into Ready Player One, but this semester we will add a project to it:

    1. M/W/F - Ready Player One

    2. T/Th - Creating a Graphic Novel

  3. Writing prompt: Wade’s OASIS pass phrase is revealed on page 199, at the end of chapter nineteen: “No one in the world ever gets what they want and that is beautiful.”

    1. Answer the following (in complete sentences & a formal voice): Think of someone (or a group of people) who this is true for and give reasons why this is true.

    2. Now, take your paragraph and turn it into a three stanza poem. Each stanza will have four or five lines. Your first stanza is already written for you:

No one in the world

ever gets

what they want Second stanza : Who you targeted

and that is beautiful. Third stanza: Your reasons…

c. Write/finish this sentence: I would be interested in creating a (prequel/sequel/character development) for Ready Player One where _________ (give a short summary of the story line).
